Caribou – a renewed design for standing frames

The Caribou is a new elegant stander expanding the existing line of standing frames from R82. An anatomic design following the shape of the user’s body means only the needed support is given and nothing is in the way.

The Caribou can be used either as prone or supine stander and tilts from vertical to horizontal position. For users with mild involvement a prone standing position and the shape of the top plate ensure free movement of the arms. Users with poor head and trunk control will benefit from using the Caribou in a supine standing position with the addition of head and side supports. The very soft and smooth PU material ensures good comfort while standing. For extra support and comfort it is possible to add wedges in the slots in the base plate. PU without upholstery ensures easy cleaning.

The Caribou tilts from vertical to horizontal. The power or foot operated tilt makes it very user friendly for assistants. The raised frame allows easy access with a hoist. The smooth running castors make is very easy to move the Caribou around. All castors are equipped with brakes securing stability and safety. All in all – Caribou is a design renewed standing frame with comfort and ease of use as main keywords.
